About the event
This free onsite course will round up the AD-LEARN project as has the goal:
- To understand the main principles of assessment in case of cognitive complaints, including history, physical and neurological examination, cognitive screening tests, functional assessment, and assessment of behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia leading to the diagnosis of suspected mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia
- To understand the main clinical syndromes leading to clinical diagnosis and suspicion of causal hypothesis in case of mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia
- To understand the role of molecular brain imaging as a biomarker in biomarker-based approach in mild cognitive impairment or dementia
- To explain the rationale for biomarker-based approach in mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia
- To increase the awareness on biomarker-based diagnostic workup and differential diagnosis in case of mild cognitive impairment or mild dementia
- To facilitate the rational use of biomarkers to diagnose people with suspected neurocognitive disorders
- To facilitate consistency in the diagnostic workflow in neurocognitive disorders and promote the rational use of resources
- To facilitate consistency in research on neurocognitive disorders
- To facilitate consistency in the education on neurocognitive disorders
